How to start The Cockatrice in the Clouds
To begin The Cockatrice in the Clouds quest, travel to a Recruitment Center in any of the main cities and speak with the Recruiter Dispatcher then select the Kokamordos, Terror of the Skies bounty.
The Cockatrice in the Clouds Walkthrough
Gather Intel
Travel to The Greatest Catch Tavern in Port Brilehaven and speak with the Seasoned Man inside. You’ll then want to purchase the “Great Avian of the Manor” intel. You’ll learn that the creature with the bounty is similar to the Kokasados in that it will try and reduce your defense. During the fight, you’ll want to apply buffs to counteract that and the creature is weak to Ice.
Explore Manor of Ascendant
Head to the Gauntlet Runner and use the round table to travel to the Manor of Ascendant near Port Brilehaven.
When you arrive at the Manor of Ascendant, make your way to the fifth floor where the boss awaits. If you’d like to discover all the goodies you can find along the way, check out our Manor of Ascendant Walkthrough!
Boss Fight – Kokamordos
The boss for this area is the Level 67 Kokamordos. It is weak to Pierce and Ice and drains Fire.
During this fight, Kokamordos will use single and multi-target Dark attacks. It also has a multi-target Fire skill. Occasionally, it will decrease the attack and defense of a single party member. Lastly, be warned that it does have an instant kill attack.
Once you defeat this bird, return to the Recruitment Center to complete the quest.
Quest Rewards
For completing this quest, you’ll receive an increase to Courage and 157,500 reeve.
