How to Start a Guiding Gift
To start the A Guiding Gift quest, speak with the Hoarse Fisher-Crone near the Rooster Inn in the Virga Island Pagan Village on or after 08/19. She’ll request that the party find some stones for her grandchild’s first fishing trip.
Called Polar Stones, they put them in specially crafted dolls that always point in a fixed direction. They use them to navigate while at sea. She’ll then mention that she lost three stones, but if you happen to find more, you’ll receive an additional reward for each one. She’ll also give you a deadline of 8/30 to deliver them.

Collect the Polar Stones
You’ll need to travel to the Dragon Temple to find the three Polar Stones.
Dragon Temple – Corridor
The first Polar Stone can be found in the Corridor area of the Dragon Temple. It will be on the east side in a group of pots, looking like a normal blue orb item that you can collect.
Dragon Temple – Labyrinthine Path
You can locate the second Polar Stone just after entering the Labyrinthine Path from the Corridor area. Head down the stairs, take a left, and head west. It will be on the next section of railing past the Monument of Virtue.
The third stone will be in the center of the room, just before the door leading to the next area. While facing the exit at the top of the stairs, go left, heading west. Take the next right, and it will be on the right next to one of the gargoyles further down the line.
Deliver the Polar Stones
After you have all three stones, return them to the Hoarse Fisher-Crone to deliver.
Rewards
You’ll be rewarded with 22,500 reeves (or 33,750 if Alonzo’s bond level is Rank 4) and Passionate Wraps. If you bring back all three stones, you’ll also receive a Sumptuous Magla Feast and Divine Elixir.
