How to start Ancestral Solution
You’ll automatically start the Ancestral Solution quest on 08/19 along with the Obtain Drakodios main quest. You’ll need to complete this quest so that you can enter the Dragon Temple and save the Priestess.
Ancestral Solution Guide
Gather Intel
To craft the Potion of Blight, we’ll first need to locate something that induces thirst. Start out by traveling to the Golden Deer Hearth and speaking with the Talkative Mustari next to the Tavernkeep. He’ll say that he looked into the item himself but suggests we’ll have better luck in the Royal Capital.
Speak with Batlin
Exit the tavern to spot Balin nearby on a wooden walkway. Head over and speak with him. Gallica will tell him about our dilemma, and he’ll mention seeing something that might be able to help in a shop from Grand Trad.
Gather More Intel
If you wish, you can travel to the Hused Honeybee and speak with the informal there. You should now see the “Potion of Blight: Grand Trad” intel for purchase. Buy it to learn that the secret ingredient for the Potion of Blight is Parchwater. He’ll then mention you can purchase some from Comfort Concoctions on Sunshade Row.
Purchase the Parchwater
Make your way to Comfort Concoctions and speak with the Blase Shopkeep behind the counter. If we are interested, she’ll mention that she recently stocked some Parchwater. Scroll over to the Key Items tab and purchase it.
Deliver the Parchwater
Now that we have the secret ingredient return to Dragon Statue Plaza in the Virga Island Pagan Village. Speak with Edeni there to hand over the Parchwater. He’ll then quickly brew the Potion of Blight, completing the quest.
