How to Begin the Automaton Engineer Dampe Quest
To begin the Automaton Engineer Dampe quest in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, approach the man and crow northeast of Hyrule Ranch in Hyrule Field.
Automaton Engineer Dampe Walkthrough
For this quest, you’ll need to help Dampe, the genius inventor, retrieve his key from the crow. Defeat the crow. The man will be so thankful that he wants you to stop by his house later. You’ll find his house, Dampe’s Studio, in Eastern Hyrule Field southeast of River Zora Village in the mountain. As a reward for finding his house, you’ll receive 5 Twisted Pumpkins.
When he speaks to you, tell him that you would like to help and he’ll give you a clue: creature with the big eye – the sort that’s always jumping around and something that shoots hot smoke out of its backside to blast forward. He needs to see these two things to inspire him! The first thing you need to show him is a Tektite Echo. The second thing is the Mothula Echo.
After finding his inspiration, he’ll create the Techtite and give it to you! It’s a flashy automaton that can launch high into the sky with a huge jump and when it jumps, it blasts away nearby monsters. You’ll also receive the Clockwork Key and a tutorial on how to use them. Afterwards, Automaton Engineer Dampe quest will complete!
