How to Begin the Cotton Candy Hunt Quest
To begin the Cotton Candy Hunt quest in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, speak with the Deku Scrubs saying “I can’t find ANY.” in Scrubton after fixing the Faron Wetlands rift. You’ll be asked which you like better, cotton candy or smoothies. Select cotton candy!
Cotton Candy Hunt Walkthrough
For this quest, you’ll need to find a large amount of cotton candy. To begin your hunt, search the ruins with the frogs south of Scrubton.
Once you arrive at the spot shown on the map above, you’ll see two tall pillars with braziers at the top.
Take out the two frogs in this area causing the rain then light the two braziers. Once the braziers have been lit, a secret entrance to the Hidden Ruins will appear so head inside. Grab the monster stone from the chest then head through the north door. In this room, you’ll need to guide the two electric orbs to the box on the north side of the room. To do this, start with the orb on the left and place the wooden box where shown in the picture below.
For the second orb, place the two wooden crates as shown below.
Once the door on the southeastern side of the room has been opened, proceed through to the next room.
Start in this room by clearing out all the spiders. If you choose to use a fire creature to do this, you might need to leave the room and come back if one of the electric orbs (aka Spark) dies. Once the spiders are dead, light the southwestern and northeastern webs on fire.
Next, you’ll guide the eastern Spark into the box by removing the boulder blocking the way to the box.
Next, light the southeastern web on fire. You’ll then want to move the boulder underneath the web out of the way.
Lastly, you’re ready to remove the last boulder, freeing the last Spark.
With the puzzle solved, the northern door will open so head on through! In this next puzzle room, you’ll find 3 Sparks. Start this puzzle by moving the boulder to the spot shown in the image below.
This will cause the first Spark to head into the box. With the Spark circling the outer perimeter, wait for it to reach the spot along the wall that is even to the box then use Tri to quickly catch it then you can walk it down to the box.
For the last Spark, summon an Armos Echo at the spot shown below by holding Y when looking at the row through the bars.
This will cause the other Armos statue to move as well. The Spark will then finally go into the box, opening the next door. Head down the red ladder to reach the next level. Work your way through this room by defeating the Sparks and moving to the right using some Water Blocks to reach the upper level. In the next room, you’ll find a Spark that you’ll need to guide into the box. To do this, summon a wooden crate on the dry land then use Tri to drop it into place in the opening next to the box.
Complete the bridge by placing another wooden crate in the gap.
Jump into the water and head straight down to find 2 shocking jellyfish. Lure them into the open water to destroy them! Head down to the Spark and place a boulder in its way.
This will cause it to escape and go into the box via the wooden bridge you previously created. For the last Spark, remove the two boulders blocking it into its tight space.
It will then go around and use the bridge that you previously created to reach the box. Head on through the newly opened eastern door. Go through this room to the next where you’ll find Smog.
Defeat him then return to the Deku Scrub in Scrubton. The ancient charm will become a curious charm, which greatly decreases damage for its wearer.
