How to Start the Mans Not-So Best Friend Bounty
To start the Mans Not-So Best Friend bounty, you’ll need to progress in the game until you complete the Necromancer Takedown and Thwart Zorba’s Plan main quests. Once that’s done, travel to the Recruitment Centre at Regalith Grand Cathedral and speak with the Recruiter Dispatcher behind the counter. From there, you can accept the bounty.
Mans Not-So Best Friend Bounty Guide
Gather Intel
To gather intel, travel to the Hushed Honeybee and speak with the Knowledgeable Man. Then, you’ll want to purchase the Lord of Tradia Desert information for 150 reeves. Alternatively, you could just read on and save your reeves! The info will tell you that the beast attacks with fire magic and can poison the party. It is also resistant to fire, which means it’s weak to ice magic. With this knowledge, be sure to stock up before heading to Tradia Desert.
Finding Maneater Manjula
When ready, go to Sunlumeo Street and through the southern gate to Tradia Desert. You’ll have one last chance to save before embarking into the desert. Once you do, a cutscene will trigger where the group will discuss the monsters. After it concludes, open the map, and you’ll notice 3 groups of enemies. You’ll need to remove them all to make the Maneater Manjual spawn. The game will then throw you into combat with him.
Slaying the Maneater Manjula
Maneater Manjula is Level 22 and blocks all fire damage. As the info stated, he can also deal fire damage and will try to poison the party. His main weakness is ice, so you’ll want to utilize that to get some extra actions in. It will be just him, so if you’ve been upgrading your gear and bringing a mage or healer with ice magic, you should be set. Once he goes down, you’ll receive 525 EXP, 263 A-EXP, 400 MAG, 500 reeve, a Rusted Weapon, and the Bone Helm. The party will also retrieve the Rampager Tail from the corpse to bring back for the bounty.
Claim Your Bounty
Take the Rampager Tail back to the Recruitment Centre and turn it in. For completing the Mans Not-So Best Friend bounty, you’ll be rewarded with 10,000 reeves and 4 points into the Courage Royal Virtue.
