How to Start the A Friend in Need Side Quest
To start the A Friend in Need side quest, you’ll simply need to enter the Grand Cathedral. During your first visit, you’ll run into a wounded Paripus Woman who is trying to get into the Cathedral to save her friend. After some convincing, the group will get the girl to allow them to save her friend in her stead.

Save the Missing Friend
To find the missing friend you’ll need to progress through the cathedral. Once you reach the first Magla Hollow, head up the nearby steps and continue climbing stairs until you come out on a side balcony of the large main room. On this same balcony will be another locked door with some hostages inside. Interact with it to speak with the hostages then you’ll need to find the Chamber Side Room Key to free them.
Head down the stairs to reach the ground floor of the big room. Take the next right to enter a hallway (under the locked room). Look through the left doorway in the hallway to spot a table with the key in the corner. Grab it, then head back upstairs and use it to unlock the door. This will trigger a cutscene leading to the completion of the quest.
Side Quest Rewards
For completing the A Friend in Need side quest, you’ll be rewarded with 5,000 reeve and unlock the Brawler Archetype.
