How to Start the Fallen Footsteps Mission
To start the Fallen Footsteps mission, you’ll first need to complete the Lost and Found mission. After that, wait a few days (the objective should update), then check in with Vassilis Voria in the Halls of Healing.

Ask Vassilis for More Work
After some time has passed, stop by the Halls of Healing and speak with Vassilis to see if he has any work for you. He’ll introduce you to Breanne Ibaka, who spotted a phantom at the orphanage and is in need of aid. Exhaust all of her dialog options, then set out to track down the phantom.
Investigate the Orphanage
Leave the Halls of Healing, making your way to the orphanage, which is located in the southeastern part of the ruined city. You’ll have to head through the city gates to reach it. You’ll need to jump through two gravity fields to land on the front porch when you reach it. Head inside to be welcomed by some ominous laughter.
Find the Phantom
You’ll first want to listen to the Orphanage: Lessons log in the back to the main room next to the statue. Once that’s done, exit the building and use your jetpack and some grave fields to move around to the back from the outside. There will be a missing section of the building you can reach there, placing you in the sleeping quarters.
Head through the doors to enter a hallway where you’ll want to take a right with two doors on your left and two on your right. Enter the 2nd door on the left, which is a bathroom. This will trigger an event where one of the stalls opens up. Enter that stall and grab the Storage Box Keycard on the stool next to the toilet. Exit the bathroom and look to the left to spot the storage box on the ground next to some giant colored shapes. Use the keycard to open it and listen to the Orphanage: Bell log inside.
Now, you’ll want to head back around to the main entrance of the orphanage and go inside. The door on the right should now be open, so use it to enter the kitchen. Located the Orphanage: Chores log on the counter near the whiteboard and listen to it to get static.
On the other side of the kitchen, a stand will be on a metal table near the window for the log. Place it on the stand and interact with it again to listen to the message and learn where the Orphanage Keycard is.
To find it, locate the fire extinguisher on the wall, then look to its left to spot a shelf. Loot the Jam Jar on the top shelf to obtain the keycard. Now, to reach the top level of the orphanage, you’ll need to head up to the sleeping area on the 2nd floor and locate the drawing of a rainbow. On the end table under the drawing will be a bell. Ding the bell to open the door leading up to the third floor.
Deal with the Phantom
Head through the newly opened door to reach the top level of the orphanage, where the Vortex Phantom awaits! If you try to speak with her, she won’t be able to hear you, so instead, play the music box you got during the Lost and Found mission. This will allow you to speak with the phantom. You’ll be able to either deal with her peacefully or with violence if you wish.
Return to Vassilis
Before exiting the orphanage, listen to the Orphanage: Grandpa log on the desk on the third floor. You can now return to Vassilis at the Halls of Healing. Speak with him to complete the mission for which you’ll be rewarded with 100 EXP and some credits.
