How to Start the Scientific Method Mission
To start the Starfield Shattered Space Scientific Method mission, you must wander around Dazra until you overhear some guards talking about it, triggering the mission. Alternatively, you could also speak with Azad Dubas directly.
Shattered Space Scientific Method Mission Guide
Talk to Azad Dubas
Travel northwest of Dazra to the building atop the mountain. To reach this building, you’ll find an entrance near the base of the building labeled Hamadi Station.
Once inside, ride the elevator up. When you emerge, take a left and follow the path to the building. Instead of going up the ramp, head down the stairs and enter the building where it says “Hamadi Station”.
Once inside, head down the stairs and speak with Azad then agree to help him out.
Collect Tissue Samples
Bladed Back
Travel to the objective marker and interact with the carcass to collect the tissue sample.
Nautilus
Travel to the objective marker and interact with the carcass to collect the tissue sample.
Groat
When you arrive at the site of the Groat carcass, Phantoms will appear. Take them out then collect a sample from the body.
Talk to Azad Dubas
Return to Hamadi Station and speak with Azad Dubas inside. As a reward for collecting the samples, you’ll receive 3,000 credits!
Collect Samples from Altered Plants in 3 Regions
Travel to any 3 of the objective markers. When you arrive at the location, collect the sample from the altered plant! You’ll need to repeat this process 2 more times!
Talk to Sherine Dubas
Once you’ve collected all 3 samples, return to Sherine Dubas at Hamadi Station. As a reward, you’ll receive 3,000 credits!
Collect Data from 4 Multifunction Sensors
Once again, you’ll need to complete more fieldwork for this married couple! Set out for 1 of the 4 multifunction sensors. When you arrive, interact with the terminal and select “Admin access” then “Upload data to linked slate”. You’ll need to do this same process for the remaining 3 sensors.
alk to Azad Dubas
Return to Hamadi Station and speak with Azad Dubas inside. As a reward for collecting the data, you’ll receive 3,000 credits.
Travel to the Subterranean Mal’siir Farm
You’ll find this farm southeast of Dazra. It will be crawling with enemies, so carefully make your way to the building with a skull by the entrance and a fenced-in front yard.
Once inside, head on down and enter the subterranean farm.
Get the Experimental Nutrifying Compound
Once underground, work your way through the area until you reach the bottom. Please note that enemies will be throughout the farm, so take care of them as needed! At the bottom, there will be a fenced-in walkway. Follow that up to a set of stairs then head deeper into the cave.
Eventually, you’ll reach a computer terminal in front of a column.
Take the set of stairs near this terminal up and head left through the opening in the walkway. Take an immediate left and collect the Refrigerator Key from the table next to the lantern.
Afterwards, follow the rock path around the corner to reach a doorway with strips of plastic hanging down. Head on through then open the airlock. In the next room, use the Refrigerator Key to open the refrigerator then collect the Experimental Nutrifying Compound bottle.
Talk to Sherine Dubas
Return to Hamadi Station and speak with Sherine Dubas. Just like always, you’ll receive 3,000 credits for your efforts. This time, however, the Scientific Method mission will conclude and you’ll receive 7,600 credits and 300 XP.
